Failed card payments
Payments from debit cards and credit cards often fail for a number of reasons. This includes the following:
- You may have entered your card details incorrectly
Sometimes, small mistakes happen when entering card details. Double-check the card number, expiry date, and the three-digit CVV on the back of your card. Correct any errors before retrying the payment.
- There may be insufficient funds in your account
First, let's check if you have enough money in your bank account to cover the payment. Make sure you have sufficient funds, and if needed, transfer some money to your account to complete the transaction.
- Your debit/credit card may have expired or temporarily deactivated.
If your card has passed its expiry date, it won't work for payments. Please check your card, and if it has expired, contact your bank to get a new one. Once you have the new card, update the details and try the payment again.
- Your card issuer or bank may have refused the payment
Sometimes, banks block transactions as a security measure. This is easily resolved by giving your bank a call, explaining the situation, and asking them to unblock the card for the payment.
Alternative payment methods
You can complete checkout using PayPal as an alternative payment method. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can select the
Guest Checkout option where you can enter your card details to complete your purchase without having to create a PayPal account.
